Project coordinator (job opportunity)

The Rues principales Foundation is constantly looking for new project coordinators to carry out the revitalization processes established throughout Québec. The project coordinator reports to a committee involving municipal authorities and ensures favourable ties between the diverse partners in the revitalization process. The coordinator also sees to the coordination of all activities associated with the revitalization projects planned by the committee.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Sensitive to the revitalization of municipalities, the project coordinator, with the committee, helps identify the given community's specific needs that must be given priority
  • recognized for his or her skill in encouraging people to work together toward a common goal, the project coordinator promotes joint action and linkage among the diverse municipal authorities
  • full of drive, the project coordinator's enthusiasm is of a contagious nature
  • possessing an analytical mind, the project coordinator understands the expectations of the people in his or her area of responsibility
  • recognized for his or her sense of organization, the project coordinator ensures the implementation of the stages of the Rues principales process and the action plans established by the management committee
  • a good communicator, the project coordinator, through such activities as lectures, meetings or written reports, informs the different partners and citizens on the progress being made in the project

KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficiency in written and spoken French, and in English, according to the municipalities
  • Familiarity with the municipal world and knowledge of the fields of urban planning, architecture, local development, team management, or in a related field would be an asset
